Treasure Trooper: Treasure Hunt Revealed – Part 2

Author: Jim | Filed under: GPT Insider

Treasure Trooper has repeatedly come at me because of this guide, but I think this is a bit ironic because I did nothing against policy. If they figured this would deter me from releasing part 2, they were wrong! I do this for you readers, so you don’t have to struggle through the $100 Treasure Hunt. This week, part two of the $100 Treasure Trooper Treasure Hunt. Acts 7 through 13 are up for bid, click the images to enlarge them… and away we go!

Act Seven – Stopped On A Bridge… Again
It’s back to the drawing board after they take your treasure map away. This is starting to get old. You need to scrape up another 20 golden coins in order to continue. At this point, you really need to be racking up golden coins. I suggest the cheap 50 cent free offers to maximize your “coinage.” And yes, you are back where you started in Act 1.

Act Eight – A Change Of Fate
The native tries to throw you over the bridge again, but some monkey comes out of nowhere and kills him. I wish I was making this up, haha, but yes a random monkey makes an appearance. Good news is that you get 7 of your 20 golden coins back, nice! This act is in the books, keep going on to act nine… but don’t you dare spend those coins, you are going to need them. Continue on.

Act Nine – Mabutu Wants More!
Alright, rolling right along. We are feeling good after getting some coins back, aren’t we? WRONG! Mabutu wants another 40 coins for the treasure map that Clara took from you. This one is gonna take awhile. At this point you may be thinking, wow I wish I never even started this. Indeed, they go way overboard in making users complete all of these tasks… but if you want the $100 be my guest. Cash in those 40 golden coins for the map and move onward!

Act Ten – The Lake of Dreams Takes Its Toll
You make some great progress in getting to the next location on the treasure map. Unfortunately, the fun runs out here. Hopefully, you resisted the urge to spend and pearls you make have acquired by completing offers to get your 40 golden coins in act nine. 15 pearls is the demand this time. This means an average of 45 offers completed, this isn’t a walk in the park, especially if you are unlucky. Grab 15 pearls, throw them into the lake, and continue on.

Act Eleven – A Mermaid’s Heart
Now that you have given away all of your hard earned golden coins and pearls, you find that the mermaid in the lake want a gem… the sapphire. Why? Well you will need the fourth journal page in order to find out. As always, there is a nonsense reasoning attached to the trooper page that tells you a sapphire is a frozen heart of a mermaid. So get the page for 10 coins, and get the sapphire by completing $100 worth of offers. Now if you have been doing credit card offers, it shouldn’t be much of a problem… otherwise you may have some work to do.

Act Twelve – Another Act, Another Ridiculous Request
Okay, so you are probably wondering what else can they throw at you right? Well now that you are at a cave entrance, you need a lantern that Mabutu conveniently is selling at the entrance to see around. Personally, I’d rather wander in the dark because the going rate is a hefty 15 platinum coins. Platinum coins come few and far between. So you either do credit card offers, or you do 30 of the one-half platinum coin freebies. Make up your mind, and enter that cave.

Act Thirteen – A Painful Finale
Act 13! This is the last one… excited? Well maybe you shouldn’t be. The lantern dies down and the prompt informs you that you need some sort of “light source” to continue. Of course, you have to purchase the fifth page to find out what this means. Duh duh duhhh…. its the Amethyst, and you need 15$ in cash shopping earned to complete this. WOW. This is daunting and impossible for most people, and when the moderators claim you do not need a credit card to complete the treasure hunt, I suppose they are disregarding this act entirely. Most sites pay back a meager 5% on purchases. This means that getting $15 will require a substantial $300 dollar purchase. Have fun!

Now you can see why anyone who tells you that this treasure hunt can be completed without a credit card by anyone is a complete fabrication. There is just no way. For a $100 reward, you need to spend about $300 on cash shopping, complete 10 surveys, refer 3 friends, complete $100 in offers, collect 15 platinum coins, 23 pearls and a whopping 128 golden coins. So judge for yourself if $100 is worth all of that.

That’s kind of ridiculous. It’s fun to read about what people are willing to do for the promise of cash. It’s interesting how it’s structured. Without seeing the difficult journey ahead of you, you spend a few coins and gems each step thinking you are almost there. Really clever marketing.

If they banned you, doesn’t that make your affiliate link no good?

Thanks man, it is a little strange how they do this to their clients. I know that I was frustrated. As far as I know about the affiliate link, it will still work. My account is disabled, not deleted… so they may be persuaded to lift restrictions in the future, but who know?

Thanks a lot for posting this. I definitely appreciate this as I do not have to waste my time or coins anymore trying to complete this hunt. Act 13 is ridiculous. Better off just using your CC to do offers than to get cashback. Well more coins for the slot machine! Oh, and I love how everyone is acting like an ass about the prize you get for collecting all 4 Relics. No one says what it is in forums, like it has to be kept secret or TT will come after you and ban you or take the prize away. Who cares, not like telling what the prize is will increase anyones chances of getting the relics. I have 3 and just need the spear and then I get a “great prize” Sorry that’s my rant but THANKS so much for posting the hunt answers.

I really enjoyed doing Treasure Trooper. My first Treasure Hunt I also had to go back and earn some more coins. Then I could’nt move forward. I had to get shopping points. I like the slot machine they added; its kinda of cool. I have not done as much with it once I moved over too FreelunchRoom.com. My screen name is team1leader. Pm and I will give you a nice Cash Bonus if you let me know where you found my post. I made almost $300 my first week.

Thanks a lot, your post helped me finish the hunt.

Thanks a lot for posting this, I am just starting Act 2 and am wondering whether or not to proceed now! :D
Just one question, what are the 6th page of the trooper journal and the diamond required for?
    Thanks again :)

Thanks, but where does it say what the 6th page of the trooper journal and diamond are required for? Do you know? :)

  9. Ryan February 22, 2008 at 5:45 pm #

Holy crap. Not a chance for Canadian residents, I’ll stay away from that hunt with a 10 foot pole.

  10. Blake February 27, 2008 at 11:37 am #

Thanks for posting this. I just bought the fourth piece of the treasure map and now I’m not even going to bother to complete the treasure hunt. I won’t be able to complete the 13th act. Do you happen to know everything needed to complete ALL of the missions on swatcash.com? krashclothing@gmail.com

I do in fact. Not to give it away, lets just say that it is a LOT more doable than the treasuretrooper hunt. It took me about a month and a half to complete the entire thing from scratch.

  12. josh March 4, 2008 at 8:13 pm #

Hey thank you SO much for this! This will definitely help me, becuase now I know not to spend ANY of my coins or pearls.

Oh and what’s Mabutu’s secret? Is it worth it to buy?

  13. Jim

Mabutu’s secret is essentially the four offers that “may” have your diamond in it. The diamond is found by completing one randomly drawn offer, different for everyone. If you are looking to complete the treasure hunt, you need the Diamond and I would suggest buying the Mabutu’s secret to make your trial less of a pain ;)

  14. josh March 5, 2008 at 6:46 pm #

Ah crap. Well I just hope that it isn’t a credit card offer, because I sure as heck don’t have a credit card.

I also heard that the secret changes every month. Meaning that it switches offers? Can you confirm this?

  15. Jim
    Twitter:
    March 5, 2008 at 9:58 pm #

I am really unsure why they would change the secret. This cannot be true because: 1. you can only hear the secret once and 2. you can only buy the secret once.

Anyone telling you it is changing is trying to throw you off

  16. josh March 5, 2008 at 10:01 pm #

Oh so once I complete the 4 offers he tells me, I’ll have the diamond?

Also where in the hunt do you actually need the diamond?

  17. Jim
    Twitter:
    March 5, 2008 at 10:06 pm #

It is just one of the four offers you need to complete to get the diamond. Mabutu’s secret just levels the playing field so you know it is in one of the four he gives you.

You need the diamond in the hunt, I forget exactly which act… but I believe it is somewhere in the 6-8 act range ;)

  18. josh March 7, 2008 at 4:22 pm #

Grrrr. So now I need to save up for an EXTRA 15 coins for that secret, then complete those offers and find that diamond.

  19. Tiffany March 8, 2008 at 2:54 am #

Considering what all goes into the hunt, it isn’t really worth it.. unless it’s all something you’re doing anyway. then the extra $100 is nice. Since I don’t do much shopping online, though, the last act will take forever for me. oh well. I’ll still try to complete it (I’m on act 10), but it’ll just be a side thing. Thanks so much for sharing this! It’s nice to know what we’re all in for ;)

  20. josh March 9, 2008 at 1:45 am #

Tiffany, do you remeber what act you needed the diamond for?

Also, can you elaborate on act 6? It’s the referral act. Did your referrals complete offers? Cause I know that I have 4 referrals (from my TT link) and I cant pass that act.

  21. Jim

“You need the Emerald, which entails referring 3 friend”
Each referral needs to complete one offer also. If not one offer, than it is X offers or X dollars. I am pretty sure they need just one offer completed though

  22. Tiffany March 10, 2008 at 3:37 am #

Come to think of it, I don’t think I ever got the diamond. When I was reading that it was *maybe* in one of the offers mentioned in Matubu’s secret I got to looking and I don’t have the diamond listed in my treasure.. and I don’t remember ever getting it. I just started doing the credit card offers so if it was in one of those, I definitely didn’t get it. So I’m confused lol.

I have around 40 first level referrals and 140ish second level (my of my first level referrals referred a LOT of people), and I assume at least 3 have completed offers. I guess I had the emerald pretty early on.

  23. Anna March 10, 2008 at 4:44 pm #

The shopping gem is easy to get right now. There is an offer on there called Pitney Bowes. Select the Shipstream Manager and order (FREE TRIAL!) and it will pay you $45 in cash shopping earnings!

  24. Jim
    Twitter:
    March 10, 2008 at 5:25 pm #

Great tip Anna. This offer is a bit tricky, because you need to return the item (still shelling out $30+ for shipping) before the thirty day trial ends and take a loss on it… however, it is a LOT cheaper than getting 5% back on a HUGE purchase :D

  25. josh March 10, 2008 at 10:07 pm #

So then aren’t you essentially making $15 by doing that?

  26. Vanessa March 17, 2008 at 9:43 am #

Does anyone know what happens when you get all the pieces in the slot machine?

  27. Anna March 17, 2008 at 2:45 pm #

It does not cost $30 to ship back a small package. It does not weigh that much, and if it did, there is also a flat-rate option for Priority Mail. If you choose the Shipstream Manager (which actually has a 60-day trial), there is no upfront cost at all. Most of the ones with the upfront costs are the ones that require a minimum postage requirement (which the first Shipstream option does not).
As for the prize for the 4 slot prizes, it’s $100.

  28. Anna March 17, 2008 at 2:48 pm #

    Guide to gems:
Ruby- The Ruby has been added to your Treasure Chest because you bought it from Mabutu.
Sapphire- The Sapphire has been awarded because you have completed at least $100 worth of offers.
Emerald- The Emerald has been awarded because you have had at least 5 first-level referrals each complete an offer.
Amethyst- The Amethyst has been awarded because you have accumulated $15 worth of shopping rebates.
Diamond- You just completed the secret offer that the Diamond was hidden in.
    Topaz- 10 DS #1 completed.

  29. Anna March 17, 2008 at 2:56 pm #

If your Diamond is in an expired offer, it is going to have to change to a new one, so I would think that the secret would have to change to steer you in the right direction to get your diamond.

  30. Jim
    Twitter:

@ Anna: Great information! I am sure that you helped a lot of our readers out. have you personally ordered the Shipstream Manager you are referring to? Because I read the fine print and it said $30 shipping, despite the fact that shipping doesn’t typically go for that much of a premium.

I think that the Diamond won’t be put in an expired offer. They cannot update the Mabutu secret because it can only be purchased once. I think it is randomly selected out of a list of offers that they know will no be going anywhere anytime soon (like a credit card offer or eBay)

  31. Katie March 17, 2008 at 4:35 pm #

What happens if you get all the relics in the slot machine?

  32. Anna March 17, 2008 at 7:07 pm #

Yes, I have actually purchased one for each computer, earning me $90 in shopping earnings. I purchased one with a scale and one just for the software. If you are to select the correct one, there is in fact, no shipping on it. The cost to you would be to ship the scale back (if you chose the one with the scale) before your trial ends, if you wish to do so.
When you get to Pitney Bowes, click on compare products. On that page, click order now under the shipstream manager. Click red order now box. That will bring up the 10-lb. scale option. Or from the page before, click on View all offers and there will be a list. The top one is a free trial with no rental equipment.
If think if the diamond is placed in an offer and then it expires, it will then move to another offer. I don’t know the specifics on the secrect because I never had to buy it. I got my diamond within 2 weeks after joining TT. I think if you are having particular trouble with it, you can contact support and they might help you.
And Katie- as I said in my earlier post, the prize is $100.

  33. Tiffany March 21, 2008 at 2:55 am #

I’m on act 15 right now, and this is where the diamond is needed. 13 rubbed the amethyst, “wait” on 14, and the diamond (“once used as keys”) for 15. Crap! I thought I had completed it lol

@ Katies: Yup, there is a 14th act now that requires the diamond to handle. The last act is still just a “contratulations” page so don’t worry about that ;)

  36. Tiffany March 24, 2008 at 6:45 pm #

Ok, I just completed the hunt! Yay! Thanks, Jim, for the walkthrough. It’s helpful to know what’s coming in the next acts before you get there :) & FYI – “act 16″ is the congatulations page. You need the amethyst for 13, obviously. Then on 14, just click “wait”, and you’re taken to 15, where you need the diamond.

Unfortunately, whatever offer the diamond was in for me was probably expired, and I couldn’t remember what they were anyway because I purchased the secret probably before the hunt even got started and before I knew that’s what I’d need it for. I contacted support and they let me know that the offer was in fact expired and I was given the diamond.

Considering I didn’t spend near $100 in order to complete this, I would say it’s worth it.. and if you aren’t spending your pearls or coins.

This really reminds me of that old show where the people went through an obstacle course.

“Turn right at the room of the Monkey, then backtrack all the way to the bottom floor. From there you have two choices: blah blah blah, etc.”

It’s that elaborate except you have to spend way more time on it and I doubt it’s worth it.

I am on act 1 and am not going any further. thank a MILLION LOL. Anyways, this is where I will now refer people to. If I get even 1 or 2 people on the hunt to the end that would be ca$h. swatcash btw now has a world map in addition to the daily attack. i just got that $100 paypal bonus for doing no offers at all. life is good.

  40. theresa May 28, 2008 at 8:13 pm #

Thanks so much for the help with the treasure hunt! I have been stuck on the act that requires the $15 shopping earnings forever! I just ordered the Pitney Bowes Shipstream thing……any idea when I will get my shopping credit to go through?

  41. theresa May 30, 2008 at 3:08 pm #

So I finally got my shopping earnings to go through…and I’m stuck now! I have no idea what I am supposed to do.
I am at act 15 and it says:
“After waiting for what seemed like days, Clara reaches into the freshly dug hole and hauls out a medium sized treasure chest. You start to go after the chest, but are halted by Jack’s hand on your shoulder. Not Yet. Clara tries opening the chest without success. You chuckle softly as as she bashes at it with her shovel, shoots the lock with her gun, and screams in frustration. She mumbles something about dynamite and wanders off. “Now’s our chance,” Says Jack. “I’ll watch for Clara and you try to get that thing open.”
Your mind races for the solution.

    There aren’t any options…so I don’t thing I’m done…but don’t have any idea what to do!

  42. theresa June 6, 2008 at 6:36 am #

“I contacted support and they let me know that the offer was in fact expired and I was given the diamond.” From Tiffany.

I am stuck on Act 15 right now. I emailed support since I know I bought the secret 2 years ago when I first joined TT. I hope they just give me the diamond…………

  43. magnumhemi June 12, 2008 at 6:37 pm #

thanks for posting before i gave up 15 platinums, thats $15 right there…because i dont shop online because of no credit card so if the pitney bowes doesent need credit card im all set  and also out of the 4 offers for a diamond i just completeed 1 and didnt get it and party with ant was one but hasent confimed but prolly wont be in there, itll be in the 2 credit card offers

  44. http://www.treasuretrooper.com/370836 July 2, 2008 at 3:54 pm #

I purchased magizine subscriptions from magizines.com and I paid with a check and got credit so you really dont need a credit card to get credit. It only pays 17.5% but these were magizines I already subscribe to so its not like I was spending any extra money, I just used last months earnings to pay for it.

  45. Nuttygrl July 4, 2008 at 12:50 am #

OK what am I suppose to do at act 15? Can anyone help me? I have my diamond. Do I need another journal page?

  46. mtgirl July 6, 2008 at 3:10 pm #

Nuttygrl: Yes, you will need to buy another journal page to finish the hunt.

    Congratulations on completing the hunt!

i emailed support and told them about when i joined and my ‘secret’ i got 2 yrs ago. they said the offers were expired and instead of them just giving it to me like someone else said…they rehid it!

however, now they have a currency converter so you can trade stuff in to make up the amount of coins and pearls needed!

I see a ton of people saying “Im not even going to try!” and while that might be a good choice for some of you I do suggest everyone atleast TRIES. I started the hunt when it first came out and I am still doing it. BUT I am not beating myself up over it. I didn’t buy anything I wouldnt normally buy. Instead I do offers and surveys as I normally would, and try to remember to check the shopping links when I am buying something.
Also with the new link system where you can give it to other people. It is now possible to do it with out using a credit card.

I think I had the most trouble because I did things like order the mouse pad (never got it anyway :( ) only to find out I needed those coins later, same with pearls and whatever else. So this guide should really make it easy since you can plan ahead.
