Treasure Trooper: Treasure Hunt Revealed – Part 1

Author: Jim | Filed under: GPT Insider

This week do we have a treat for you. After toiling away for months on Treasure Trooper’s $100 Treasure Hunt, I am here to release all of the answers to the public. The answers has never been released before, as most members feel that they are required to keep them secret. Yet examination of their terms of service and privacy policy yields no issues.

I wasted my time with this progress, and the fact that I see many other people doing the same disturbs me. So take a look at this walkthrough or whatever you want to call it… and decide for yourself if the treasure hunt is worth your time. There are 13 acts; click the images to enlarge them.

Act One – Stopped On A Bridge
Well… here’s where the headache starts. You will realize right away that this is not a treasure hunt, but a laundry list of things you need to pass on to the next act. Here, a “native” stops you on a bridge and demands that you give him 20 gold coins. These gold coins are from offers, the least of which are the 50-cent surveys that provide 1 gold coin apiece. That’s about 20 offers you need to pass on, get to it.

Act Two – A Missing Part
After struggling over your 20 gold coins (which are taken away), you know don’t know what to do as you are informed you need a “missing piece” to make a compass work. You need to purchase BOTH pages 1 AND 2 of the “Trooper Journal” to continue. Why they didn’t make it the first page is beyond me. Regardless, you will find out that you need to get the “Ruby” in the “Trading Hut” page for 15 gold coins. Total cost of this round is 15 coins for the ruby + 10 coins per page for a total of 35 coins… ouch.

Act Three – Beware of Villagers
Okay, by now you are probably thinking… what else can they throw at me. This is when they hit you with the news you will need 8 pearls to continue. Pearls are offered after completing offers in a mini-game. The odds of winning are roughly 1-in-3. I hit bad odds on this, but hopefully you won’t. Logically, this will work out to about 24 offers completed, although you might already have enough if you didn’t spend them.

Act Four – Carried Away
After handing over the 8 pearls you just collected (finally)… you find out, once again, the “villagers” have disregarded your offer and want more. Now, again, you will need a gem to continue. The photo drops a hint of “worship the sun,” and after you purchase the third page of the Trooper Journal for another 10 coins, you find that you need the Topaz gem to continue. This is relatively easy, you just need to complete 10 daily surveys. But if you haven’t done this before, you could be hit with a one-to-two week waiting time for the surveys to count. Get your Topaz and move on.

Act Five – Give Me That!
So you got together what you need to pass act four… congrats! Act five is a breeze. But you will learn soon that it actually kills you. The character “Clara” hold you up with a weapon, and forces you to forfeit the ENTIRE TREASURE MAP! You can now move on to Act 6, but it’s not gonna be pretty…

Act Six – Down For The Count
You get “shot” and now will need an elixir to continue. Of course, they guys down at Treasure Trooper have cooked up some random incoherent story about why you need to get the next gem. You don’t need another Trooper Journal page (for now), because they put the pages out of order with the treasure hunt. You need the Emerald, which entails referring 3 friends. Don’t try to cheat them… they will shut down your account in a heartbeat. Not to bad for now, continue on.

Next week we will cover acts 7 to 13, stay tuned!

So basically you are saying that it costs $73 just to do the mission? — thats couting in a round about matter coins and pearls = about $1 each. You know with all the gold coins you make from “treasure hunting” you could just use them to cash out with gift cards… and the pearls use them for referrals instead… I mean referrals have a potential to earn you a little bit of income for life the treasure hunt is kinda lame…

The only “real” thing you can get with the gold coins is a mousepad or a bumper sticker. All the gift cards you have to use platinum cards.

        I mean platinum coins

thanks for sharing this! I’ve looked all over the net for leaked TT info.

  9. Sly from SlyVisions dot Com October 14, 2008 at 7:18 pm #

Oh man. I never even knew TT had some secrets like this! Great post Jim!

  10. Laura January 13, 2009 at 8:25 pm #

The true colors of TT have finally shown itself. Unfortunately I wasn’t expecting it.

I found out that the admins. are allowing their moderators (or their “favorites”) to use false information on offers. No wonder half of them completed the treasure hunt so quick and easy. @@ I am mad! I put my a$$ on the line to report the darn moderator and I get the sh*t end of the stick! What bull! If anyone wants proof and wants to know which moderator I caught frauding let me know I will gladly give it to you.

If you are wanting to fraud the system go ahead cause its obvious you wont lose your account unless your like the airhead moderator who talks to much. Now I know who I can and cant trust and its pretty sad!

    • Mel January 28, 2009 at 11:27 pm #

Hello, you said the admins on treasure trooper are allowing the mods to use false info on offers, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s true cause of stories I have heard about TT before. Anyway, i’d like to know more about the story, you said you’d offer proof and mod names. I’m just curious since I used to be into TT, but felt like they were always hiding things.

  11. apparently the wrong one February 12, 2009 at 3:53 am #

So sad. It seems obvious to me that they play favorites over there.

So where’s part two to this anyway?

  12. Laura March 10, 2009 at 11:07 pm #

Sorry I haven’t been back on here in a while.. Last time I tried to send the comment it wouldn’t let me..

I haven’t been on my blog that I posted it on for a while and it looks like its not active anymore but there’s the conversation I had with her.

I also never did the offers that she gave me there were not even on the list of offers I just told her I did to keep her talking.

  14. Ravallo April 1, 2009 at 10:44 am #

    Hey,

How can I get those gold coins, which are required for a map?

  15. laura April 1, 2009 at 3:06 pm #

you get them by completing offers and once they are approved those coins are added to your “my treasure
    page

  16. Ravallo April 1, 2009 at 3:20 pm #

Just by doing normal cash offers? Or special/ not 100% free?

  17. laura April 1, 2009 at 4:11 pm #

All the offers besides for the quarter bin offers give gold coins for each offer.

Oh yeah if any of you want to know how to complete the hunt without spending a single penny of your money let me know.. I have a few tricks that work wonders (yes including getting out of paying any money for the shopping)

  18. Ravallo April 2, 2009 at 4:25 pm #

    Laura,

I’m interested, could you tell me how to complete the hunt without using coins? :O

  19. Laura April 2, 2009 at 11:28 pm #

If you want information send me an email I don’t want to post the trick on here because I don’t want it to be taken off of the shopping list :P

Are you sure about Act 4? Cause I already have the Topaz gem but it doesnt show a place to let me use it …

  21. Laura June 18, 2009 at 11:57 am #

Check to make sure you have 10 surveys completed. Sometimes the acts take time to update themselves with your current stats so if you have 10 surveys it should let you through soon.

I have the rest of the acts and the journal pages on my blog if anyone needs to see the rest of the hunt and also wants to see the journal pages without having to buy them.

dang, im on scene 4, and this is crazy! i got to spend my time completing offers just to give my rewards back to them. i don’t know if i want to continue, Ive bought 16 ref’s and not one of them has completed and offer or responded to me trying to contact them. I’m starting to wonder if it just a way to keep us going. I’m actually kind of aggravated because the offers don’t credit as fast as some sites, when i do an offer i want to credit instantly, if its going to,this way i know I’m getting paid, not this 2 days later my quiz jungle finally went through. Oh and if you want to know a trick to quiz jungles drop me an email! do the quiz/registration and 3 pages and your done! newname1@gmx.com or go to the chat box for the site i listed and give me a shout
in the mean time I’m actually getting paid at http://myaffiliatedollars.com they pay as many times as you meet min of $15, so i don’t have to wait a month and go through bunch of crap!

  26. tina suentar January 27, 2010 at 7:02 pm #
