I use this system at the moment just to look up networks that might be running similar offers, but I have noticed that most are out of date. I think they are in an "update" phase and that might be causing the lack in updates on the database. Regardless, it has helped a bit and that's the least I can expect for a free service.

I think this is how the process works, when you enter your name and email address on the sign up page and hit enter, it sends out an email to confirm your email address. You then need to click on the link sent to your email address, to confirm that this email address is yours. Once that is done, you will be taken to the account setup page.

There are several problems with your analysis of the overall picture. I will say that for basic overview, its not a bad review BUT if you truly want to help people, heed what I wrote next.

Lets start with the fact that the list is out of date and does not update daily. This creates a serious issue when many of the offers on Offer Vault doesn't actually exist on top of the fact that several of the large networks aren't in their system as you already mention. Or that you get incorrect payouts due to changes on the network side that is not reflected on Offer Vault. This creates many discrepancies. To their credit, having some list is better than none and does save the typical affiliate time from registering and logging into multiple networks for the same info but a flaw is a flaw.

Second, your argument of $2.00 payout vs $2.10 payout is "HUGE" is serious flawed. In a fantasy world where all conditions remain constant except for payout terms, yes this would be "HUGE". However in real life where the rest of us live, this is blatantly retarded to think otherwise. Each and every network converts differently and the ONLY thing that matters in this business is EPC. I don't give a rats ass if an offer pays $1 mil per lead. If EPC is $0, its worthless. How "HUGE" is that to you?!

Regardless if its a $0.10 difference is a $10 difference, the only way to tell is by split testing. The name of the entire game is to test test and test some more. Ignoring this fact and going with payout is the WORST thing any affiliate marketer can do and at the end of the day, I don't care if the list spits out that $0.10 difference because its not like having it at all. Pitching such a flawed analysis to new affiliates who don't understand this can be potentially dangerous advice. I'd advise you to carefully reconsider what you write before you post them without detailing "more" of both the Pros and Cons more carefully for others to understand why this is crucial. It would have been different if you had actually included an insert on this rather than leave out the important details and jump to the minor indifference. Even an idiot can tell $2.10 > $2.00 but the question is, is it really?!

That said, ultimately isn't it worth it to sign up to test the offers anyway. Any experience affiliate marketer can tell you that payout is NOT the way to go. Obviously it does matter but at the end of the day, its the bottom line of how the offer performs and two of the exact same offer will never perform quite the same across networks.

Thanks for the heads up, Jim.

I'm new to this affiliate marketing stuff and am always looking for a new site to explore. It does not look as scarey to use as xyn or ClickBank!
