I have to disagree, well, partially. I think keyword research is easy, for the most part but I don't agree when you say search engine traffic doesn't convert to RSS Feed subscribers. I personally know a blogger who ONLY focuses on SEO stuff and traffic rather than networking and stuff... he went from 50 to 500+ from ONLY search engine traffic.

But I guess you have to know exactly how to entice them just like anyone else who visits your blog, huh?

What works for me is just writing the way I normally do, putting at least and little extra thought into the title and slug of my post and then waiting to see what happens. Once hits come in, see if I can increase the rankings for those phrases. I never really reach for any specific keywords before a post because I think they will naturally come out while I am writing about a topic.

Everyone talks about "keywords" all the time but I think the stuff is really quite worthless when you get right down to it. Essentially, what you have are a bunch of internet marketers trying to run blogs that don't know what they are doing. Remember: blogs are about quality content, not search engine rankings!

I think we should not totally ignore keywords and rather focus on contents as said in this post. I regularly write reviews for softwares and focus on unique content rather than keywords.

Anyways This is a nice article

I agree at some point. Basically I feel Google loves keywords BUT they love people too. So the more people are visitng your site, then the higher rankigns and respect Google will give you...
