How I Earned More Than $750 With Internet Marketing Through Referral Programs
Author: Jim | Filed under: Make Money Online
That’s right. Huge profits are out there to be made in affiliate marketing, and this new method that I have already profited off of in a big way has me excited about the possibilities out there. You all know the standard referral programs that give you, let’s say, 15% back on whatever anyone who signs up under you makes. Pretty good… but you need to rely on people signing up and actually putting money down, which doesn’t always play out in our favor.
But what if your referrals just had to sign up, and got you credit regardless of whether or not they actually start actively using the service? Well heck, that sounds right up our alley!
Enter in referral programs that pay for everyone who signs up, not a percentage, a flat rate. I picked up on this method courtesy of Jason from The University Kid, who revealed an amazing secret that gives you $25 per referral, even if they do nothing after signing up, using the Text-Link-Ad advertising network. Righteous. All of Jason’s secrets have been offered up in a free eBook on his blog… so you should drop by and thank him for
his efforts. But hey, let’s summarize the move here that can basically load up $25 after $25 after $25 and make you rich!
Let’s begin
So this is a trick involving one of the web’s premier text link advertising networks named Text-Link-Ads. We’re going to exploit their generous $25/referral offer to rack up some insane cash. Just as a disclaimer, I am not at all promoting pump-and-dump schemes in signing up useless referrals, you should always have the intention of referring useful members to the service. But with that out of the way, this is by far the best deal I have seen in terms of minimal work / high return.
- Sign up for a Text-Link-Ads “Publisher Account” to get started
In the sign up process, you will need to supply the blog/website you plan on advertising. If you are actually interested, then by all means do this. If you just want at the referral program, there’s nothing making you pay so don’t hesitate to sign up. Just a note: make sure you do not sign up for the “special offer” they propose at the end of the process. This program, called InLinks, completely disqualifies you from using the referral program so avoid it unless you really want to participate.
- Install the Text-Link-Ads advertising script on your website
The next step is to set up ads on your blog. Don’t worry, you really only need to do this 2-3 days to make sure it takes. You need to put ads out at first for the $25 to count per referral. So navigate to the “Install Ad Code” section and grab the WordPress plugin to install or just the script if you aren’t a blogger. Place it on your website and you should receive a message 1-3 days later informing you that they have seen the script installed and are setting your ad price to $X per link. On theNetFool.com, this happened the next day and was for $15-per-slot. I would leave this up for a while just in case they check back, regardless if you actually want to sell links or not.
- Sign up for the Text-Link-Ads referral program
I really don’t know why they make this semi-hard to find, but it’s there. Sign up for the referral program to earn “a flat $25.00 for any referred visitor that results in a sale or gets accepted into our publisher program“… nice
. So now, anyone that follows your link and signs up as a publisher will be effectively handing you $25. There are a lot of banners and different ways to get referrals, but all you need to do is copy the link that appears like this “http://www.text-link-ads.com/?ref=######” and get people to use it.
As always, don’t forget my previous post that demonstrates how to mask this ugly link to better encourage folks to come down and sign up for you. Those numbers are ugly, so we can clean it up with Jimvesting’s affiliate/referral link cloaking method.
How does that sound, easy? Yeah. It is. There’s a reason I have been able to capitalize on this method. All you need to do is have some awesome readers to sign up under you (do it!), so you could make a post like this promoting the network as a way to advertise or a way to get referral cash in the blink of an eye.
The internet is your friend, and programs like this make it all the more better. This is just one of the many reasons that you should stay bullish on the net!

I’ve been trying to capitalize on this referral program to make money, but TLA refuses to approve me as a publisher. They claim that my blog has too slow of a load time. That, of course, is BS. So beware TLA…..they’re starting to act like Google.

I don’t think that’s true. I just did this again yesterday and it worked. One way I’ve found that sometimes helped is taking off the “www.” and resubmitting… or vice versa. So if you submitted http://www.yoursite.com you’d switch to http://yoursite.com and try again. Worked for me, I’d give it a shot
I hear ya. I did exactly that. I submitted http://yoursite.com without the “www,” and they continue to refuse it. They said it was because my blog had a slow load time. That, of course, is hilarious because there are a lot of blogs out there with painfully slow load times due to all the stuff they have on the homepages. I pressed TLA on this point, and now they’re saying that the reason they keep refusing my blog URL is because it “doesn’t meet their traffic requirements.” Go figure. At this point, I want to continue building my traffic and then write a scathing review of TLA for this runaround.

It sounds too good to be true but then there is no harm in checking it out. There is even no need dumping them after earning the commission, if they are good enough for the referral commission, then I suppose there are other juicy things yet to be discovered.
Thanks for sharing this. It was a good thing I subscribed to your RSS Feed by email, maybe I would have missed it. Cheers.

It’s not too good to be true. They do this kind of thing, and so do a lot of other referral programs. The key is to have the traffic to benefit from them. You need to have a loyal reader base from which there will be potential sign-ups or buyers for these referral programs.

I never made much from TLA referral program. Have to give them a serious try though!

Well as of a few weeks ago when I first signed up for TLA, a referral needed to sign up, be accepted, and put the ad code on their site.
Not sure if it’s always been like that or not…
Thanks for your article, Now there is more reason to comment than ever before! This is a great fir for our project!
Thanks for making the facts about signing up for TLA a bit clearer Jim.
I already downloaded and read theuniveritykid’s ebook on TLA.
