The following is a paid review of MySuitNY.com, and has not been slanted one way or the other by virtue of payment… though it was very nice of them.

Everybody needs a good suit, especially in the world of business. I can’t tell you the number of “professional” men and women I have seen walking into interview situations under-dressed. You might feel more comfortable, but unless you are Steve Jobs… you aren’t getting the job.

The bottom line is that even if you aren’t in the corporate world, you are going to want to look your best for events like weddings, holidays and formal dinners. Nobody wants to be the “Joe six pack” sitting at the dining table, eh? One of the best suit stores that I have come across in my years is My.Suit… makers of made to measure professional custom suits at fantastic prices (something we are very alert to in today’s economic environment). Let’s explore some of there opportunities!

Made To Measure – Never Been More Cost Effective!
When you think of customized tailoring, you probably link this with high rates that only the wealthy can afford. I thought the exact same thing when I received this review, so I almost turned it down before I saw the bargain basement prices at just $495 to $2,000 a suit. This makes “off the rack” suits completely obsolete… as you’ll probably pay the same for a MUCH higher quality design! I don’t like to say “cheap” because these suits are very very nice, this is one business that knows how to play to the crowd.

Make no mistake about it, this isn’t your typical online store. The website is brilliant, yes, but once you have your suit in order you can schedule an appointment and come right into their New York office. Not only do they have bargain rates, but you get a fast 2-week turnover on every order… making My.Suit the single fastest and thriftiest tailor I have ever seen.

The My.Suit Experience
These guys really boast of their made to measure process, and I agree that it is something that really defines them. I actually went through the process of buying a suit myself… and I was thoroughly impressed with the options they had available.

This is essentially a three-step process:

  1. Measuring
  2. Styling
  3. Fabric

You go through the measuring process and there are around 10 different measurements that they use. With that in mind, I know that it is going to fit like a glove and be ultra-comfortable. They have five unique jacket styles, from two-button to a nice 6-button double breasted look. TONS of styling choices anywhere from lapels to sleeve buttons to vents. And they round it out with pant detailing and fabric choices (I like the black/navy with quiet white pinstripes). Once you get everything in order, you can make an appointment and go get a professional to work with you to make your custom men’s suit perfect.

Jimvesting’s Recommendation: If you need a suit and are located in the New York area, I recommend taking the train in to check out the options at My.Suit. In all seriousness, there is nothing more essential to a professional wardrobe then a nice suit. If you can get a custom suit just like the big boys here, it’s worth a bit of a trip.

This is a sponsored post of the Gadget Advisor blog, and the post was not in any way influenced by payment… other than the size of my wallet and new love of technology.

As a blogger, I’m obviously tied pretty well to the world of technology. As such, it’s not unusual that I get sidetracked and start to aimlessly browse about the latest gadgets and tech trends… trying to find the next best thing. Heck, even as an investor, understanding the tech market is going to be a big plus if you want to capitalize on undiscovered growth plays in the market place.

There are tons of tech blogs out there (my personal favorite is Wired.com) where you can check in on the new toys that come out, or maybe even the latest advances in the IT world. However, none of these blogs really narrow it down to specific “big ticket” items. In comes Gadget Advisor! This is a fresh blog with about 60 posts from the first month and a half of operation… and is definitely a place to bookmark if you are into tech!

A Word From The Owner:

“Gadget Advisor is a new site, but it is growing and becoming established rapidly. The goal of the site is not to list every bit of news from each day. Instead, the site focuses on the product releases and news items that are the most significant, useful, or particularly cool.”

A Bit About What They Do
This blog operates pretty much just like your standard WordPress blog, but they do a good job making things look professional. All of the posts that I have read in my brief experience with the website have been well-researched and worth my time. One of my particular favorites was the one on the best FireFox extensions. I’d definitely recommend checking that one out!

One thing that I noticed about Gadget Advisor is their template seems a bit plain. While this doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing, I feel like if they are going to push money into marketing, they could just as easily use that capital to spend a few hundred dollars on a customized template, eh? So that’s my primary concern to this point.

The Future for Gadget Advisor
One of the bright spots for the Gadget Advisers is their marketing campaign, which has correctly placed emphasis on particular posts like the best Windows software downloads where they can gain a lot of organic traffic from Google. I have tried to emphasize the different methods that can produce growth in the short-term as your blog becomes more and more established. One of my favorites is earning campaigns to target “long tail” keywords that are not heavily invested in by the big boys, so you can rank up high with minimal effort.

One thing that got me laughing is that I thought they misspelled “adviser” as “advisor” in their domain name. Of course, a misspelled domain name can really call for lowered credibility on the host website. You might be able to steal a few cheap hits, but in the long run you can never get a successful business off a misspelled word. Fortunately, they indeed spelled things correctly, as both “adviser” and “advisor” are the same word according to my dictionary (though “adviser” is preferred). Whew! That’s a relief!

Jimvesting Recommendation
These guys down at Gadget Advisor seem bent on growth, and they are clearly willing to market their website around the internet in order to get it. I highly recommend you check out their blog and read an article or two. It’s good stuff, there just isn’t a whole lot of it unfortunately. As they grow, I expect them to eventually get a nice theme to compliment their hard writing efforts. I’ve been loving their content, from a neat USB NES controller to a review for Blaze Media Pro. I can’t recommend against a free resource, can I? Go check it out! :)

This is a sponsored review of the Motive Network. The ideas and recommendations in this post have not been swayed in any way by virtue of payment.

As a “make money online” blogger, I come across my fair share of affiliate networks. To be fair, pretty much every network around claims to be the best, the highest paying, the most exclusive and the cream of the crop. There are many popular names out there that serve their purpose just fine, but I have just recently come across what may just be my new favorite affiliate program around… and they are even available to all of you international entrepreneurs out there!

So which network am I talking about? Motive Interactive. For a company that hasn’t enjoyed a huge amount of success since their foundation in 2003, they have certainly come out strong in advertising and campaigning for growth as of late. Now, they have even been recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the fastest growing online advertising companies in the United States. The bottom line is that Motive has the single best system that I have EVER seen. Period. With the rise of the new Advent 2.0 system… this is a network that you need to hear about. Let’s have a look! :)

A Quick Look into the Motive Network
I wanted to focus this review on the brand new (and quite sleek) Advent 2.0 system that was recently adopted by Motive… but let’s have a brief overview of the company before we do that. The Motive Network works primarily as a performance-based affiliate system for publishers looking to make some money online. However, they also have a pretty neat “Motive Media” service that focuses in display/media advertising.

Clearly, the pull of the Motive Network is their technological advantage over any other ad network. I have never seen such an organized, clean and efficient system as theirs… but there really are other reasons to join. With fast access to your personalized customer service rep at all times (very nice!) via phone, instant message or email, as well as some of the highest paying offers around… I have found some really unique offers through the Motive network that I had never seen before. What’s more… the payment schedule is very flexible and always on time, paying through PayPal, bank-wire and check.

Introducing Advent 2.0 – The Motive Network
Simply put, this is the best system of all time… and it has all the bells and whistles that you’d expect to find in the system that I give this ranking. AdventV2 is an advanced performance ad network that implements two functions critical to internet advertising: a publisher centric advertising network, and a direct lead generation network. As far as I can see, no other company can give you both. But that’s not it! You ALSO get a top-notch ad tracking function that allows you to fully analyze your ads and leads. This thing was designed by the professionals, and it’s all built right in to AdventV2.

In the affiliate realm, things are always changing… and I feel like the Advent system by the Motive Network is the only one that can fully handle future changes. I have had major concerns from the systems used by other networks (not going to name names here), and it seems like there is always something that you CAN’T do. However, I truly feel that the convenience and functionality in the Advent 2.0 interface is second to none.

Superior User Interface and Selection

So I’ve mentioned how much I love the Advent user system, but what exactly makes the thing tick? When you sign up as a publisher for the Motive Network, you are given access to their Advent 2.0 system. Essentially, it’s a clean system that allows you to get to the offers, creative, statistics and campaign information that you need quickly. Advent gives publishers the tools to measure important campaign performance metrics across all time periods, campaigns and payouts in multiple perspectives including ‘effective’ perspectives like eCPM and eCPL. By providing simple, but powerful, filtering capabilities for offers, campaigns and performance statistics… they have really streamlined the process for publishers.

My favorite feature of the Motive Affiliate back-end is the “My Offers” area. Unlike the typical system where all of the offers are simply listed in bulk form, the Advent 2.0 user interface allows you to scroll through the offers you like and move the ones you are (or are potentially) going to use into your personalized offer area. This creates a very nice distinction between the offers you don’t care so much about, and the ones you are focusing on monetizing for profit.

The Motive Network Referral System
Before I came across Motive Network, I had through that Market Leverage had one of the best referral systems with a fat 5% commission. But the Motive Network has surpassed even ML with a 5.5% payback for all of your referred clients, for life. You get reports sent each month direct to your inbox, and accounts typically get approved within hours.

The Motive Network Rewards System
While many other affiliate networks have monthly promotions to try to spur activity, the Motive Network likes to use their rewards system year-round in order to get you paid a little more for being a dedicated user. The reward system starts at 1% of earnings, then moves up to 2% on the second-tier. Below is the following rewards structure:

Commissions – Rewards
. $1,000 – $10
. $2,500 – $25
. $5,000 – $50
. $10,000 – $100
. $15,000 – $150
. $20,000 – $200
. $25,000 – $250
. $30,000 – $300
. $50,000 – $500
. $100,000 – $1,250
. $150,000 – $2,000
. $200,000 – $3,000
. $500,000 – $10,000
. $1,000,000 – $20,000
. $1,250,000 – $25,000

Bottom Line: I have been very impressed with the Motive Interactive Network to this point in time. I know that a lot of you readers are international, and needed a program that would work for you. Because of this, I recommend using the Motive system, with an all new Advent 2.0 user interface, if you are looking for a convenient and reliable affiliate network. They have all the bells and whistles that everyone else has, and have found a great way to incorporate everything together. A great service, with awesome representatives that will get you earning money online in no time.

This is a sponsored review of Bryn Youngblut’s online conglomerate; this post has not been impacted by the purchase price in any way.

The internet has become a great arena for making money online over the past decade. Taking advantage of the industry’s continued growth, it’s not unusual to see so-called “internet entrepreneurs” take the stage and create virtual conglomerates that rake in massive amounts of income year after year. As readers, it’s always nice when these marketers turn around and give you advice from their own experience; one person that fits the description is 21-year old Bryn Youngblut.

When Bryn asked me to do this post, I was more than happy to promote his various entrepreneur websites. As a young marketer myself, I have come to know Bryn as a relatively new face in the Make Money Online (MMO) niche… but he has really been doing this kind of stuff for years. One thing that I wasn’t aware of was how he took advantage of the brand new “.me” domain name sales to lock in “bryn.me“, which is now his primary blog and can teach you a lot about everything he is doing to turn profit.

Bryn.Me – Entrepreneur and Affiliate Marketer
Bryn Youngblut’s main venture has now become this centralized information source. There are a lot of internet marketers out there that keep their secrets to themselves. Bryn, unlike most elitists, openly shares all of his thoughts and recent projects with his readers through this blog. What this does is provide a “one-stop shop” if you are interested in learning the techniques that can make you rich.

One of the main functions of the website is to collect all of the niche websites that Bryn has developed over the years. Now that he has all his workings from “T-Shirt Plug” re-rerouted through Bryn.me, it seems that all attention is turned toward this new blog. I definitely think this is a positive step going into the future, and while there are still frequent t-shirt plug posts, a lot of the information is now pertinent to bloggers & marketers, with a few more informal tips & news items thrown in the mix. Definitly a cool resource that’s worth a look, if not an RSS subscription. ;)

PicPanda.com – Upload and Share Images
Everyone needs an image uploader nowadays, and Bryn has filled that gap with PicPanda… a very lightweight and easy-to-use picture uploading service that is completely free for anyone to use. When I want to upload an image, I’m usually looking for the quickest means possible to get what I need online. PicPanda is one of the simplest systems that I have come across, and it works great! You can upload multiple images, use up to 5mb in size, and everything works as fast as lightning. Plus, he’s even added a really nice browser toolbar that you can use to upload images on the fly. I’m not exactly sure how he was able to develop the software… but what a great idea, eh?

SkeefMail.com – Temporary Mail Accounts When You Need Them
This project is one of my favorites. A mail client called “Skeefmail” is used for setting up temporary email accounts. Have you ever had to complete some offer or sign up to a newsletter just to get a product from a stubborn company? Getting junk mail is a pain, and Skeefmail totally cleans up this problem that a lot of us face. With literally one click, you can get a randomly generated email that will last you 60-minutes. Alternatively, you can specify a specific account and get a custom temporary account for an hour. Skeefmail is bookmarked in my browser for those times I don’t necessarily want to give away my personal email address… and I highly recommend using the service.

SkeefUrl.com – Shorten Your URLs in a Jiffy
Assuming you DON’T have your own domain name, a lot of people like to use services like ShortURL to generate a nicer-looking and easier-to-remember web address to connect users to their website. Nothing too unique about SkeefUrl.com, but it is another very easy to use short-url service that I would definitely recommend because of how lightweight and simple the website is.

GameAtWork.com – Take A Break From The Office, Play Some Games
First things first, what a great domain name! Game At Work is, as expected, an online gaming website. Their are certainly a lot of these websites out there… so it’s important to have a website that’s name stick in your head. Bryn hit on all cylinders with GameAtWork.com. Who doesn’t like a little entertainment? Game At Work is an easy to use gaming website that delivers a ton of amusing time-wasters at no cost to you… what’s not to like about that?

When Bryn approached me looking for a website review for Bryn.me, I was a bit concerned how I would stretch things to get him his money’s worth. Fortunately for me, Bryn Youngblut has made quite a few websites in his time… and a lot of them have great potential. If you are looking for tips from an up-and-coming entrepreneur and marketer, check out Bryn Youngblut’s projects to see how you can make money too!

This is a sponsored review of the PublisherSpot network. However, I was not influenced by the payment and was already aware of this project from the site’s owner, Tyler Cruz.

Confusing.

This is how you more than likely view the affiliate marketing industry. Join this, or join that. All of the marketing companies claim to be the best, with the most offers and highest payouts… but who really takes the cake? The subtleties are slight, and really your experience is the only thing that is a reliable measure of a network’s success. So how can you possibly come in blind and determine which ad or affiliate network is the best?

In comes PublisherSpot.com, the latest web-project from one of my closer online buddies… Tyler Cruz. PublisherSpot is the place to go if you want to learn objectively about the advantages/disadvantages of various ad and affiliate networks. I know first hand that Tyler has actually dealt with most of these… and there are now 45 networks that you can browse, compare and choose. Really, this is something everyone should consider because even a 1% difference in kick-backs could make or break a campaign. Tyler has put a lot of investment into this one (thousands to be more exact), and I can already tell it’s top-notch work. Let’s have a look at some of the brand new features of this powerful ad network search engine!

A Compelling Ranking System

Clearly, PublisherSpot has put an extensive amount of work and research into their ranking system to determine the best of the best ad networks. One of the first things that you will notice when you visit PublisherSpot is the nice and organized “top networks” panels running along the right side of the screen.

Let’s be honest, nobody wants to read through every review… signing up for multiple networks along the way… just to get to the best network after months and months of effort. If you can use the best network from the start, why wouldn’t you?! It’s common sense, and I love how they break things down into “ad networks,” “affiliate marketing networks” and the best overall network from both categories. Right now, Clickbooth is winning the overall & affiliate network, while BannerConnect is the best ad network.

This ranking system is absolutely great, and is totally driven based off of user input. As far as I can tell, the thing is nearly flawless at this point. There is a big amount of security involved, and every registered member has the ability to vote up or down a company and determine where they rank. What’s even cooler is that the updated commenting system displays your personal ranking on each network where you leave a comment, so you can debate in a leveled environment.

Organized, Integrated, But Simple

If you know me, I’m a sucker for websites with great looking designs. PublisherSpot makes my mouth water because all of the design is perfectly organized and it looks fantastic. I know that Tyler tried very hard to get everything looking it’s best, and it has really added to the functionality of the site. There really isn’t any other option if you are looking for a website that sorts and reviews publisher networks for guys looking to make money online, so I was naturally excited when PublisherSpot came on the scene.

The new features make this an absolute gem. I especially like the new fully-integrated member system that exists across the website. When you sign up for an account with PublisherSpot (totally free), you are getting a one-login access to the review website, commenting system, blog website and integrated forum. That’s one heck of an advantage, as the forum & blog are small right now and we wouldn’t want to waste time subscribing to every little feature of the site. Publisher Spot really puts it all together.

Paid Services: Good or Bad?

Tyler has talked extensively about the “network spotlight” section of PublisherSpot. Essentially, different advertising networks can come by and pay to be listed in the front of the website and on the top of search results. I’m not quite sure why he keeps mentioning this, as I don’t really think it applies to anyone except those working for the actual companies. Still, the featured network makes for a nice distraction and really compliments the rest of the site. Tyler claims that this ability gives a chance for the smaller networks to bump to the front of the list, which is definitely a plus. I would have to agree that it does “even the playing field,” but do we really want to see the bad networks on top? I guess it has its pluses and minuses, so this one was a bit of a toss-up for me personally.

A Fool’s Endorsement?

So now the question is, does PublisherSpot get my endorsement? Well they paid me… so YES! Kidding, of course. But in all seriousness:  I endorse PublisherSpot. I have been a member myself for a while now, and have never received a spam message or anything. It’s a simple system that works wonders, and I have found out about some great networks to make money on that I wouldn’t have seen.

With over 45 networks reviewed to this date, the collection of advertisers on this website is extensive. They typically update you when a particular network has some big news out, so you can use this as your “central hub” of sorts to manage your networks. One thing I would like to see added is a sort of tracking system where you can manage all of the networks you are signed up to and find out what all your earnings look like. Even still, I think you would all be better off after signing up and having a look around… it’s really quite a job well done by Tyler Cruz.
